Marshes are the place to be in October in Iowa! Many different species of migratory birds, en route from their northern breeding grounds to wintering areas in southern latitudes, stop at Iowa marshes each fall to rest and feed. These species include small, skulky sparrows, goofy, chicken-like secretive marsh birds, and elegant ducks and geese. Join us for a morning to search for and learn about these different marsh visitors!
This trip is free but advanced registration is required. No prior experience is necessary. We will have a limited number of binoculars available to use.
