Spending time outdoors is both fun and healthy! Why not look for and learn about birds while you do it? Iowa Young Birders is excited announce our "Summer of Birds 2020" summer birding program which encourages participation in birding and bird-related activities from June 1 - August 31, 2020. Kids under the age of 18 can participate by signing up using the below link. Then, all you need to do is log the hours you spend outside observing birds or participating in any of the specific bird-related activities (which are listed on the activity log form). Earn fun prizes as you log hours and activities throughout the summer! And, if you can log a total of 25 hours and 5 activities OR 15 hours and 10 activities, you will be entered into a drawing to win a brand new pair of binoculars from Wild Birds Unlimited in Ames!
And one more thing - everyone who signs up for this fun summer program will receive a free copy of "Birds of Iowa" by Stan Tekiela courtesy of Iowa Audubon and Big Bluestem Audubon Society!
